Grimaldi, Mississippi — — A cargo ship in Grimaldi harbor in southern Mississippi was caught on video being rescued after being lost in rough seas and caught on the side of the harbor.

The Coast Guard says it was notified of the rescue Sunday evening by a local fisherman who spotted the stricken cargo ship on the coast about 2:15 p.m.

It is unclear how long the vessel was on the water.

The vessel was carrying 1,200 metric tons of food and other supplies.

The Coast Guard said the crew tried to reach the vessel, but was unable to get to it.

It’s not clear how long it was on water before the crew decided to tow it away.

It was in the area of the port of Grady, a city about a mile south of the city.
